Our Home
The building was originally constructed in the mid 1950’s for the purpose of providing care for residents of Gosport as part of God’s Port Housing Society but is now part of the Contemplation Group. The home comprises 55 single bedrooms.
We have 3 large lounges and 5 smaller quiet lounges. The attractive communal dining area is adjacent to a large south facing conservatory which is a very bright, pleasant and airy room overlooking the grounds at the front.
Many of the rooms overlook the well established secure garden containing a water feature and raised beds which create a very pleasant area for our residents, their families and friends to enjoy. A gazebo offers shade from the hot sun. We also have a family of rabbits that live in this garden. Several of our residents are avid gardeners and enjoy pottering around in the flower beds.
There is ample parking at Northcott House.
Our Team
The Mananger, Juby Joseph, has the day to day responsibility for the running of the home. Juby is a Registered General Nurse and is registered with the Care Quality Commission as the Manager of Northcott House.
Juby is supported by a team of skilled nurses and care staff who have an on-going programme of training and development which enables them to plan and deliver the appropriate care to meet the individual needs of our residents.
The home has excellent cleaning, laundry, maintenance and gardening ancillary staff who ensure the home is always well presented and provides a safe and comfortable environment.
Our chefs know good food makes happy people. So we ensure that each resident’s dietary preferences and specific nutritional needs are catered for, with a selection of home-prepared and home-cooked meals served to the highest standard throughout the day.
Please feel free to visit the home at any time or telephone to make an appointment to meet with Juby and her team for a guided tour and discussion about Northcott House Residential and Nursing Care Home.
